The chassis of the Cabriolet is the same as that of the Coupe, and its overall length and wheelbase are 85mm shorter than that of the Saloon, but more than 1,000 newly designed parts are used to ensure the body's rigidity.
 

The engine is a DOHC inline 6-cylinder M104 unit. It produces 225ps/32.1kg-m of power from a displacement of 3,199cc.
This engine has the smoothness and torque generation characteristic of a straight 6, and the feeling of acceleration is excellent, making it smooth yet powerful. Other
features include a highly weather-resistant soft top and a heated glass rear screen.
