●About the 3rd generation Renault Lutecia RS (Renault Sport)●
The Lutecia RS is a high-performance model based on the Lutecia. It features a special wide body, aero parts, suspension, Brembo brakes, etc., and is positioned like the Honda Type R. The 3rd generation Lutecia RS is based on the 3rd generation Lutecia and is equipped with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter in-line 4-cylinder engine that produces over 100 horsepower per liter of displacement, and is a tough model that only comes with a 6MT and right-hand drive, producing 202 horsepower and 21.9 kgm.
●About the car we are introducing this time●
This car has a perfect Rouge Toro (red) exterior and dark grey interior. The owner acquired it about a year ago. The good condition of the car was the deciding factor. The mileage at the time of purchase was 80,900 km. Currently, it has just over 83,300 km. It appears to have been well-cared for by the previous owners, and both the exterior and interior are well-maintained. We really like the car, but are considering switching to a Megane which can accommodate more people, so we are considering selling it. (The Lutecia RS can accommodate 4 people.)
●Exterior●
The bright red genuine color Rouge Toro's body maintains a vibrant luster that will get you excited. Although it is a standard RS, it is equipped with genuine aero parts such as the protruding plastic front fender, giving it an air of being something special. The dual exhaust pipes and large rear diffuser add to the impact. Apart from small stone chip marks, there are no major scratches or dents and the car is in very good condition.
●Interior and electrical equipment●
The interior is sporty and exciting, with a dark gray base. The seats are sports seats exclusive to the RS, which are comfortable to sit on and can be adjusted to a desired position, and are said to be very complete. The seats have been used minimally and are in very good condition. The rear seats are in good condition with no signs of use. The ceiling cloth is in good condition with no sagging. The instrument panel, including the exciting yellow tachometer, is also in good condition. Of course, they work properly. The car is equipped with an external navigation system and audio system, and the speakers have been replaced by the previous owner with better sound quality, so you can enjoy high quality sound. A drive recorder and ETC are also installed, supporting safe and comfortable driving. The original steering wheel, dash, and instrument panel are also in good condition. The air conditioner works without any problems. The only thing that bothers me is that sometimes the warning light with the tool mark on the instrument panel (maintenance warning light?) lights up, and there is a clicking sound coming from the air conditioner vent, as if the fan is touching something, but neither of these symptoms were present at the time of the interview.
●Engine, suspension, etc.●
The straight-four high-revving naturally aspirated engine, which has almost disappeared nowadays, is still in good condition. I rode with the car to the shooting location, and it revved up nicely, and at high revs it made a pleasant squawking exhaust sound. The transmission was a short-stroke 6-speed MT, and the gears were changed smoothly. There was also no pedal or steering offset, which is common with right-hand drive cars, and the driving position was very natural.
The tires were 17 inches front and rear, and the brakes were a combination of Brembo 4-piston calipers and 312mm ventilated discs in the front and TRW single-piston calipers and Brembo 300mm discs in the rear, which worked perfectly. The suspension was set up in a sporty way while maintaining the ride quality unique to French cars, and the ride quality was excellent. There was no sign of wear and the ride quality seemed to be maintained.
●Excerpt from the most recent maintenance history●
At the time of purchase, major maintenance such as timing belt replacement and water pump replacement were performed, and since it has only been about a year, you can drive it with peace of mind for the time being. When you visit, you can view the maintenance book and records from when it was new.
●Owner's comments●
There are no particular problems at present, and I think it is in good condition. I am considering switching to a Megane, which has a larger passenger capacity, and am considering selling it. I believe that the Lutecia RS is a car that is truly worth driving, so I would like to pass it on to someone who is willing to take over.
●Interviewer's personal opinion●
I have the impression that it is a very beautiful car. The red exterior color raises your spirits. The powerful body with genuine aerodynamics is in good condition both inside and out. The contrast between the red body and the black aerodynamic parts everywhere is perfect. The idling is elegant and modest, but once you step on the accelerator, it boasts a pleasant acceleration. I was able to ride along and experience the snappy shift changes, pleasant exhaust sound, and exquisite suspension. It is recommended that you install a naturally aspirated high-revving engine in a lightweight body that you can no longer get in a new car, and that you can operate it with a 6MT. It is a three-door, four-seater car, but the rear seats are surprisingly spacious and it seems like it would be useful as a family car. If you fold down the rear seats, you can secure a large luggage space and it is easy to use.
If you are looking for one, please consider it. Please note that the mileage will increase slightly as it will be driven regularly to maintain its condition.
Since it is a private sale, there is no consumption tax, but you will be required to pay the recycling fee and the monthly automobile tax.
The car is located in Tokyo.
The above information is based on the interviewer's personal opinion, so please make sure to inspect the car before making a purchase.
Due to the owner's busy schedule, inspections will be limited to those considering purchasing.
