Nissan Datsun Truck

This is an introduction to the HANTER KING, which is based on the 10th generation D22 Nissan Datsun Truck (1997-2021).

Type: Cab conversion (a type with a dedicated camping shell attached to the cab chassis)
 

Features include:

1. Exterior design
The cab (driver's seat) uses the front design of the Nissan Datsun truck.
A special camping shell is installed in the loading area.
The entire vehicle is designed to be compact (less than 5m in length) and can be easily maneuvered on narrow roads.

 

2. Interior equipment:
The interior is relaxing and made with plenty of wood, making it easy to mistake it for a log cabin.
Bedroom: Bed space for 2-4 people.
Kitchen: Equipped with a simple sink, gas stove, refrigerator, and storage space.
Storage: Plenty of storage space is provided, allowing you to store camping equipment and food.
Living space: There is a face-to-face dinette and space for eating and working.
Heating and cooling equipment: Comes with an external AC connector that can supply power, allowing the use of electric air conditioners and heaters.
The roof ventilator can be reversed to draw outside air into the room.

 

3. Driving performance:
Taking advantage of the part-time 4WD performance of the Nissan Datsun Truck (D22 type), it can also be driven off-road. It
is equipped with a 2.4L gasoline engine (KA24DE).
The high ground clearance allows it to run stably even on rough or unpaved roads.

 

4. The camper is approximately 5m long, 2m wide, and 2.5m high, making it easy to park and drive.

 

5. Uses and User

The Hunter King is a rare model and is rarely available on the second-hand market.

・The body color is dark metal gray, color code "KR4".
　This color is a deep gray with a metallic finish, and is a popular color that combines a luxurious and sporty impression.
・The paint surface is still shiny. The plated parts are also clean with no signs of cloudiness.
・The camping shell shows signs of paint deterioration.
・The glass is clear in the front, rear, and doors with no visible surface distortion.
・The size of the car is 498cm long, 193cm wide, 255cm high, and 2,060kg　
in weight. It is much more compact than it looks.

 

[Interior condition] (As of the day of the interview)

- The driver's seat is in good condition and does not show its age.
- The floor is in good condition with a mat laid down.
- The door lining is in good condition.
- The seat cushion, back and side support are all firm and not worn down.
- The cabin space has a very clean and relaxing interior with plenty of wood.
- The kitchen, stove and simple sink are in very good condition with no signs of use.
　The many storage spaces are all in good condition and are being used.
　It is a face-to-face dinette, and both the table and sofa are well used.
　Some of the tufting buttons on the sofa have come off.

・It is in good working order, so the engine is in good condition.

[Undercarriage and suspension condition] (As of the day of the interview)

- The tires are YOKOHAMA GEOLANDAR i/T G072 255/70R15 112L STUDLESS on both the front and rear.
- The tread surface has ample ridges and the sipes are in good condition.
- The wheels are genuine Nissan steel wheels. Rust is visible.
- There is no oil leakage from the transfer or banjo in the drivetrain.
- There are no tears or grease seepage from the shaft boots.
- The front suspension is double wishbone + torsion bar, and the rear suspension is leaf spring + rigid axle
- The undercarriage is generally dirty and rusty due to normal use, but there is no damage such as bottoming out.

 

[Instruments and electrical system] (As of the day of the interview)

・The meter panel is lined with a fuel gauge, speedometer, tachometer, and water temperature gauge from the left. The mileage is 200,889km according to the meter reading.
・An Urvolax dashcam is installed.
・The headlight and taillight lenses are clean with no cloudiness or scratches.
・The air conditioner worked well. It was very cold. (Please check the video.)
・All lamps, including the warning lamp in the meter, are in working order.
・An external power supply can be used. There is an outlet behind the rear tire house on the passenger side.
・The roof ventilator can be reversed to draw outside air into the cabin.
