About the Abarth 595

The Abarth 595 is a vehicle tuned up by Abarth based on the Fiat 500. It was originally called the Abarth 500, but was later unified as the 595.

The main lineup consists of two grades: "Turismo," which emphasizes comfort and high quality, and "Competizione," which emphasizes sportiness.

The current Abarth model is the 695, but production will cease in May 2024, and sales at authorized Abarth dealers will end as soon as stock runs out.

I feel a little sad about Abarth moving towards EVs instead of internal combustion engines. What do you all think?

About the vehicle we are introducing

The vehicle we are introducing this time is the 2017 model Abarth 595 Competizione.

It is equipped with a 1.4-liter inline 4-cylinder gasoline turbo engine, mated to a 5-speed sequential transmission with AT mode.

Brembo brakes come as standard, and other features include the exclusive "Record Monza" exhaust system, red brake calipers, a leather sports steering wheel, Sabelt sports seats, xenon headlights, and aluminum pedals.

The current owner purchased the car in a private sale last year.

He said it was an impulse purchase.

It was originally a dealer demo car.

The interior and exterior were in good condition, and there were records of all the important maintenance works, so he decided to buy it.

After that, the following modifications were made.

Replaced the left and right seat rails with low position seat rails (seat height reduced by 25mm)

Moved the left and right seat reclining dials from the outside to the inside

Installed a turn signal extender

Installed a steering column extender

Applied Alcantara fabric to the surface of the dash panel

Although he had been enjoying driving the Abarth 595, he had other cars to look after and wanted to focus on those, so he decided to sell it and requested that the car be listed on Enthusiast Forest.

Exterior

Beautiful Grigio Campovolo color, with Abarth stripe decals on both sides.

The paintwork is clear and clean, but there are some scratches caused by flying stones, which have been repaired with touch-up paint. There is also a scratch on the left side skirt, which has also been repaired with touch-up paint.

The fuel tank cap has been replaced with an aluminum one. (Original cap is still in place)

The aluminum wheels are genuine 17-inch wheels, and the tire size is 205/40ZR17.

The tires were replaced with new ones this year.

Interior

Equipped with a black leather steering wheel, Sabelt bucket seats, aluminum pedals, and other features befitting the Abarth name.

The combination meter uses a TFT meter cluster. In addition to basic information such as a speedometer and rev counter, it displays a fuel gauge, water temperature gauge, fuel consumption gauge, and an "Eco Indicator" that evaluates eco-driving on a five-point scale. In addition, as a feature unique to the Abarth, a sports model, it is equipped with a "G meter" that displays the G forces (acceleration G, deceleration G, and cornering G) generated while driving.

To the left of the combination meter is a boost meter, and when you switch to sport mode, the word "SPORT" lights up in red, allowing you to experience a powerful ride.

The owner made the following modifications in pursuit of a more comfortable ride:

Replaced the left and right seat rails with low-position seat rails (lowering the seat height by 25mm)

Moved the left and right seat reclining dials from the outside to the inside

Installed a turn signal extender

Installed a steering column extender

Also, the owner was bothered by the plastic feel of the dash panel, so he covered the surface with Alcantara fabric to give it a more luxurious feel.

The audio system is equipped with a genuine radio with Bluetooth and ETC.

The air conditioner works well.
