◆About the Classic Mini
――――――――――――
The classic Mini, produced from 1959 to 2000, is a car with many enthusiasts around the world. The classic Mini has a history of over 40 years, so it is known for its wide range of engine displacements and grades. This time, we will introduce the Mini from 1984 onwards.
The tire size of the Mini from 1984 onwards was changed from 10 inches to 12 inches. This was to improve the ride comfort as well as to evolve the braking performance to modern levels. From this time on, disc brakes were adopted for the front brakes.
At the same time, the import dealer changed from Nichi-Ik Motors to Austin Rover Japan, and the Mini came to be simply called "MINI" (no longer had a name like BLMC). Also, in 1989, the brake servo was introduced, and the braking performance improved dramatically.
In 1991, the fuel supply of the traditional A-type unit, which had not been modified since the company's founding, evolved from a carburetor to an injection system. Since 1993, the carburetor has not been able to meet the strict environmental standards set by the EC. This allowed the small but great legacy left by the late Alec Issigonis to continue.
However, in 2000, production of the "MINI", which had inherited the tradition, ended. Nowadays, when we talk about "MINI", we divide it into BMW and others (Austin, Morris, BLMC, Rover), but the impact that the classic Mini had on the automotive world is immeasurable.

◆About the vehicle we will be introducing
------------------
The vehicle we will be introducing this time is the Rover Mini Cooper 1.3i 35th Anniversary.
The car was purchased on Yahoo! Auctions about three years ago for his wife.
The seller was a Mini specialist shop, and the car was serviced and inspected at the time of purchase before being delivered.
The wife also loves Minis, and the conditions were that it be almond green and a manual transmission.
The owner had previously driven a Mini. At the time, the Mini had left-hand drive and a high-low suspension kit, and he enjoyed making various modifications to it, but since this was his wife's car, he wanted to keep it in as original condition as possible. It had been a great way for the wife to get around, but due to changes in her living environment, she was considering switching to a more comfortable car and decided to sell it.
This car is a 35th anniversary model, but it didn't have the four fog lights on the front, the pinstripes on the sides, the commemorative stickers, or the 1.3i emblem from the beginning.
But it didn't bother him much. That's because the Mini is a car that you can customize and enjoy. He said that making your own Mini is also one way to enjoy the Mini.

◆Exterior
The body color is almond green, with a white roof, a color scheme that became a hot topic for the 35th anniversary.
The 35th anniversary model comes with 4-lamp fog lamps, pinstripes, and an anniversary sticker, but this vehicle does not have these.
The hood and trunk lid have a Mini Cooper emblem.
The paint is in good condition, but there is some deterioration of the paint due to aging (small scratches) and dimples.
The rear bumper has scratches from being dented when parking in a garage.
The wheels are 12-inch 8-spoke genuine aluminum wheels, and the tire size is 145/70R12.

◆Interior
The 35th Anniversary model features an almond green interior in the same color as the exterior.
There were hairline and other scratches on the wood panel.
The condition of the genuine leather seats is good. There were some wrinkles on the driver's seat.
The genuine leather steering wheel and horn button have the anniversary logo.
The original genuine leather shift control knob has been changed to an aluminum knob.
The audio system was equipped with an external CD deck player (with Bluetooth function).
The owner did the installation himself.
The car was equipped with air conditioning, which worked well.
