Introducing the NISMO Type 380RS, a Fairlady Z version limited to 300 units.
In 2007, in the absence of the GT-R, the Fairlady Z was the face of Nissan and raised its presence in the Japanese racing scene.
NISMO (Nissan Motorsports International), which supported the Fairlady Z's activities as a works team, used its racing experience to create the complete car "Version NISMO". The car has an aerodynamic form that creates downforce at high speeds, thanks to a front bumper with a large lip spoiler, a rear bumper that functions as a diffuser, and a flashy rear spoiler.
The car is a special Z, with a reinforced body for increased rigidity, high-grip tires, Brembo brakes, a specially tuned suspension, and Yamaha performance dampers. As for the engine, NISMO has introduced a 3.8-liter VQ35HR engine for the race-only "Version NISMO Type 380RS Competition", but this racing engine has been detuned so that it can be used on public roads and installed in the Version NISMO.
The 380RS's special engine has a 7mm longer stroke than the standard VQ35HR, with a bore of 95.5mm and a stroke of 88.4mm, increasing the displacement to 3798cc. It also uses special aluminum forged pistons, a crankshaft and connecting rods made of reinforced materials, and changes to the cam profile and valve lift amount to achieve a maximum output of 350ps/7200rpm and a maximum torque of 40.5kgm/4800rpm. This is a 37ps and 4.0kgm increase in performance compared to the normal 3.5 liter engine.
The lineup is limited to a 6-speed manual, and the engine is limited to 300 units, so the 380RS is limited to 300 units.
The owner had been looking for this Z for some time, and finally came across this low-mileage, very good condition vehicle in 2021, which he purchased.
Since purchasing it, he has taken good care of it, installing genuine Z seats and wheels, with the originals being stored at home. In addition, as the panel around the door switches often gets worn down, he purchased new parts and stored them.
Currently, it is stored in a dedicated indoor garage, but the owner expressed a desire to pass it on to someone who will cherish it, and so has decided to sell it.
[Exterior]
